Global-TALKE begins phase 2 of its new logistics facility in the Riu Clar industrial area of Tarragona
Global-TALKE, a specialist in logistics solutions for the chemical and food industries, has begun construction of Phase 2 of its site in the Riu Clar industrial area (Tarragona). The project involves the construction of a 9,600 m² warehouse (on a 22,000 m² plot), with capacity for 14,600 tons of goods and 8 independent sections equipped with the latest fire prevention and protection technologies.

Safety and sustainability at the core of the project
- Fire protection system with automatic sprinklers, high-flow hydrants, and a 1,726 m³ reserve tank.
- Low-consumption LED lighting and assisted natural ventilation ensure energy efficiency.
- Rainwater collection network with filtration and a sealed spill tank, in compliance with Catalan environmental regulations.
Boosting the local economy and construction timeline
This new phase will generate both direct and indirect employment and further establish Tarragona as a logistics hub for the chemical sector along the Mediterranean corridor, thanks to its proximity to the port and to the AP-7, A-7, and A-27 motorways.
The construction will last approximately 12 months, with commissioning scheduled for the second half of 2026. With this expansion, the total area operated by Global-TALKE in Spain will exceed 120,000 m².
